Soy wax candles are biodegradable and water soluble- Spills clean up easily with hot water.
Not biodegradable or water-soluble. Spilled paraffin is difficult to clean; damaging to clothing, furniture and carpets.
Soy wax candles are non-toxic and non-carcinogenic. The most environment-safe candle available.
Releases numerous toxins and carcinogens into the air when burning.  Creates unhealthy indoor air quality.
Made from all-natural, US, farm-grown soybeans.  A renewable resource.  Using soybeans supports the U.S.economy.
Made from Petroleum-based by-product of gasoline and kerosene refining and could be manufactured from foreign oil.
So pure, you can use wax as a hand lotion!
Why would you even want to?

Fun Facts

Paraffin Wax

Soy wax is made from natural soybeans grown right here in theU.S.A.  In a 60lb bushel, 49lbs of soy meal and 11lbs of soybean oil are produced.  The soy meal is used for soy milk, tofu, “veggie” burgers and also animal feed.  The 11lbs of soybean oil is made into wax through a partial hydrogenation process. Therefore the entire soybean is not wasted.  Purchasing soy candles is an excellent way to support American farmers.

Soy wax burns cooler (slower) than paraffin, therefore increasing your burn time. Soy wax has a lower melt point so remember to keep your candles out of the sun and bright light as this may cause your candle to sweat or discolor.

Soy wax candles produce very little (if any) soot and smoke. To keep smoke at a minimum, be aware of how you burn your candles. Each time you light your candle, trim the wick down to ¼ - ½”. Do not allow wick trimmings to fall into your wax melt pool and burn the candles in areas free from drafts.

A good rule of thumb is to burn the candle one hour for every inch of the candle’s diameter.

Please, never leave a burning candle unattended.
